Objective:
Allow for precise and variable positioning of the rotor blades as they move indepentantly.
Solution:
A rod style linear positioning transducer can be mounted inside each hydraulic cylinder. The absolute feedback from the transducer allows for precise positioning of the rotor blades. Other solutions require each required rotor position to have a discrete inductive sensor mounted in the proper location. This solution only gives digital yes/no feedback of rotor position, while the linear positioning transducer can give exact, continuous feedback.
